Well.... corper's wee... waaaa. ...
I remember when I was anticipating to be a corper just like many undergraduates outside there, the stress and fun has a corper is a life experience that all undergraduate need to pass through.
The stress of waiting for nysc list and waiting for posting, believe me many aspirant pray for lagos state, ogun state and abuja while some don't care, they just want to be a corper.
If you are posted in the local areas, you are safe but if you are posted to the city like abuja and you don't have friends and families there like seriously, many things are involve.
Getting to different camps, seeing different faces and meeting different people, both the handsome, beautiful, ugly, good, bad, smokers, drunkers, thieves and lot more, you must to adapt. A common language in all camp is " NO OPTION " for good 3weeks.
The stress of registration, settling down and waking up as early has 3:30am-4am and going to bed by 10pm when it's believe that Nigeria wakes up by 6am and go to bed by 6pm.
We are train to adapt to any conditions especially bad conditions like queuing for everything (water, food, registration from one stage to another, accommodation, allawe under the hot sun or under the rain, even to bathe, you must queue). Remember you don't have any option.
Orientation camp is stressful for the first one week with everyday parade with the soldiers and later, the Man-O-War takes charge of the parade ground and there comes the real exercise for the day from 4am-7:30am.
Between 7:30am-8am, you will need to dress up with your white fowl uniform (white/white uniform) or your khaki, also you will take your bathe, brush your teeth and so on, all within 30minutes.
from 8am-9am, this another period of of queue, when you will be on a straight line all in the name of getting morning food ( like seriously the food is so annoying) food like bread and watery tea (cowbell chocolate), watery pap with 2 beans cake (akara), sometimes rice (not even sexy), only on sundays, they do eat correct rice and chicken. Remember "NO OPTION". But believe me there's option in this one "mammy market" for those that have money.
WEL, WATCH OUT FOR THE SECOND EPISODE OF LIKE HAS A CORPER. DON'T FORGET TO SHARE YOUR OPINION BECAUSE "HERE, THERE'S ROOM FOR OPINION(S)", SEE YOU SOON.
